Gemini Sun and Pisces Moon

Gemini-Pisces women are the most beautiful in the world, so I’ve been told, and the men, I imagine, are charismatic, too. But it’s the women I’ve known. Striking faces, willowy bodies, laughter—infectious—and this willingness and this emptiness where other people usually keep their fears. Both women I’ve known were raven-haired, enigmatic-eyed, and I got to witness two sides to this configuration between the two. On the one side the person living by her talent and her soul, and the other, also of the soul, but too nebulous for a living, traipsing through a shadow-scape, where addiction and blindness keep the lights burning at the backs of the eyes. This person’s life is made up of states of being, mindsets which last a decade or more, and then are completely changed, or morphed. This person is able to bear an extraordinary amount because their souls are very light. Here we have the Sun and Moon at hard angle, or square, both sides of the Mutable Cross, which is the most unclear and dangerous of the crosses. The person can—through their sheer wildness—make a martyrdom of their life, without knowing to whom or what they are sacrificing. The Gemini Sun is slippery and flexuous, up for anything, yet noncommittal to its core—and this is all underscored by the Piscean Moon. It’s interesting—typically with a Sun-Moon square, the two light ‘bodies’ are clearly different in ethos, yet Gemini and Pisces, though their mere connection implies destruction and tension, has the tendency to blend. Gemini Sun is of course of air and so the person is aware, quick, instantly cloying yet inherently distant, and the contradiction that the Gemini implies simply expands by way of the Pisces Moon. All the moods are accessible to them, in turns, or all at once. Commiseration with others of course runs deep, and they are strangely impersonal even though they achieve deep states; it’s just, this person’s heart at a young age entered into a secret ceremony of marriage with the unknown. And it is the sorrows and joys of the collective that really move them. There are no boundaries within them, or limits; the Piscean Moon unlocks parts of the brain that connect to parts of the body, and if anyone can achieve levitation it is this person. Their energy however is not purposefully very directed; they love moving by what steals by them, they love catching a race in the dark. There is a comfort to being close to them, their familiarity with being lost or without hope, their incapacity to judge, and always witnessing much—to witness being a powerful, powerful act, which this person embodies. She or he might be incredible at manifesting the power of soul, too—in the moment—making other people weep, and unlocking what’s locked up in the chests of their spectators. A real moving effect, and Pisces, the moving feet—what takes us where we think we need to go, but does it matter? It has always just been about the journey, about being, and the teeth in the dark of your friends laughing with you. The Gemini-Pisces is the sign of the nomad, in a sense, the Priestess, she who travels the alleyways of the psyche, but as these appear, illusory, like mirages, in the material realm. The person is typically awake at the wee hours of the morning, before the sun rises, the times of day that are for haunting. Very affected by atmosphere, this person, however, hardly ever filters what they feel into action—they simply bring the mood, or transform themselves unconsciously, and it might take them many hours before they come down off their highs—or lows for that matter. There is the tendency toward addiction with this sign, or of never having enough, and needing more—the woops from the crowd, or the feeling of another’s hips up against yours in the dark, the beat of drums—the Gemini-Pisces must be moving, touching, and hearing. Gemini is an extremely social sign, and though I’ve known a recluse or two who was Gemini, in general, the person is brought to life by encounters, and so, in a sense, is the Piscean Moon, so vulnerable, so broken open by the communal spaces held by others. This person welcomes the eternal surprise, welcomes what they never could have conceived, though perhaps they did conceive of it, deep in dreams, where there is no holding and no memory. Melodic, arresting, and then being without typical boundaries—the person moves to understand all facets of this complicated earth and her fragmented humanity. To understand by that immortal act of witnessing. The Gemini-Pisces is a vessel, and each day involves filling up and pouring out.
