The Sun Wakes the Flowers
Libra Sun and Leo Moon
When I was growing up in a town I felt alien in and oppressed by, a Libra-Leo girl was my best friend and made me feel as if nothing I did or felt was ever strange or wrong. With a Libra Sun and Leo Moon, we have the blend of air and fire, thus the pleasant carrying of the scent of smoke and flame over long distances. It’s a happy and exuberant blending, one which results in heightened states of consciousness and joy. There’s little time given to the agonized overly concentrated self or depression. Libra-Leo’s are more focused on the triggers and respondents to their light, and as for themselves, they view their own beings as more indefinable and transcendent, like the flame. The Leo Moons I know experience joy in their very unconsciousness, as if the wellspring of creation and hope resides there. There’s a quick, cursory kind of self-care, and then the rest is doled out and spread by way of a powerful will towards fallow fields in their vicinity which would benefit from their creativity and hopefulness. They do well in perceiving their affect more than their essence, which blinds them. The Leonine Moon is more absolved of the problem of ego than the Sun sign Leo whose ego burns even its own self. While the Leonine Moon is more a fire which loves burning down to its embers and by habit, memory, or deep love gets teased into rich flame again. This process binds the person to his or her days and nights. Act and connection is more important than place or even home. The person transcends or floats above it all. He or she spends much time in creative act or thought. This Moon was waning at birth, about three quarters to the New. Thus, dissemination, disintegration, and the powers of deep observance without direct involvement are gifted to the person. All waning Moon people must grapple with loss that is not directly their fault, but the result of many causalities, crossed fates, and cruel circumstances. But whatever happens to the Libra-Leo is taken in stride and recapitulated so that the person’s boundless optimism and enterprising thoughts can help others cope and recover, and in doing so they themselves flame up and thrive. It’s how they heal. In personal love, they are loyal and get to experience their most vulnerable selves in recipience with someone else, a relief, as the Leo Moon is very unto itself, and self-nourishing. That being said, the person loves a good fawning over and caressing, as any Leo would. And Libra Sun, forget about it, there are principles to uphold. This is a person to trust. They are also the most witty and sarcastic of them all—no person is better at laughing at themselves. The girl I knew was bold where I longed to be bold and soft without letting any vulnerability undermine her deep strength. She was brilliant and mirthful; sincere and compassionate. There were some things I never told her, for fear she would not have understood, as the Libra-Leo’s world is so bright and seemingly without pitfalls, but, now that I think of it, I think she would have got me after all.
