The Opening Act
Libra Sun and Libra Moon
The double Libra, or New Moon Libra, is so nonchalant and it feels really respectful to be treated that way. A New Moon Libra, of course, is the genius of the social sphere, bringing all kinds of people together not for any purpose but so that everyone might find their own stride—they are remarkably supportive of other people’s spirits and endeavors. This person thrives in the herd where he or she brings to light what is ripe for brightness, and surveys with kindness what thrives in the darkness; the double Libra does not brood on others’ faults and unkindnesses, though they might for a short time gossip about them. But really, it is what it is, and the person knows that there is always so much else to be involved in or filled up by. On themselves, the person is mysteriously tight-lipped or perhaps much of their depths is relegated to the unconscious, a realm which sorely lacks for brightness. They’ll be eager to share themselves through the vehicle of a medium, however, a buffer, for in the conceptual they feel more at ease, and they are beautiful talkers. It’s my own theory that the Cardinal signs of a season, what initiates, are all preludes to the Fixed signs, what grounds in the very essence. So here we have Libra, prelude to Scorpio—the depths of which shatter social conventions and conceptualism to reveal the rawness of deepest truth. This sleeps like a curled up cat within the double Libra, meaning there is an unspoken understanding, almost like a presentiment, of other people’s darker aspects, that the double Libra mysteriously longs to drag out and dance with. However, in themselves, there are lines the person tends not to want to cross. Even though she or he will hint at it by association, by clothing, or attractions of deep chemistry, the Libra Sun-Libra Moon remains at heart a sign of double air, doubly removed from the earth or the heaviness of water. Curiously, Libra is the sign of attachment and long-term relationship. These are connections that are made visible within a milieu, a collective, that are created to establish the person, in this case, the Libra, as an other, a partner, wife, or husband. Whether or not the tie stands the test of time or trials of the soul remains to be seen when figurative November hits, or the reckoning beyond the establishment, what Libra has that wispy presentiment of. Even once that period is passed, there tends to be a floating back into the ephemeral. The double Libra is a wonder to witness and feel, like how the fireflies act like twinkling stars or lightning leaves behind an aura. Any person who is in love with a double Libra should be understanding that though they feel the onslaught of their own depths as inevitable, to themselves they are only prowling playfully as a well-fed wildcat of other realms of thought. They love roaming, mingling, disappearing into, and becoming one with different spheres of existence, atmospheres tinged with a smattering of true expressiveness, where he or she chameleons in utter joy. Any New Moon aspect carries throughout life the wide-eyedness of the child. The double signs are eager to invest in dreams, and they cannot really live so well without enjoying the boundlessness of new hopes from time to time. There’ll always be a bit of a restlessness to begin again, and she or he would prefer to move between houses, if possible. At the very least, friendships are vital. Especially friendships abroad, at sea, in between realms, on vacation, or at the lull before a storm. It ain’t the sign of Venus, the peacemaker, for nothin’. The Libra-Libra I know seems to blend the masculine and feminine with perfection, while still loving women, and finds himself most completely in the ethereal region of dance and song.
