The Formidable Soul
Pisces Sun and Libra Moon
This Pisces holds it together better than other types. Libra is a very steady placement for the Moon; one that is fair and strikes for balance and visibility in a world that most Pisces would rather escape. Libra brings this desire for presence; it is the sign of diplomacy and deep interest in other people. In fact so much of the personality, the ethos of self, is shaped in response to other people, their thoughts, their feelings, which in turn informs the person of what they believe in. Ah, Libra—the sign of response. But here we are dealing with a Libra Moon under the dominion of a Pisces Sun, so the spirit is with the sign of Pisces, and with the Moon with Libra, the sign is inconjunct or gratingly unfamiliar to the Pisces ethos. Yet, I think there is a strong footing between this pairing. For when Pisces connects there is always a dissolving element, as it is the sign ruled by Neptune, our restless oceans, who eat up and reassimilate all contents. Pisces blends so miraculously, merging and birthing anew in universal love that to have the Moon, the emotional body, what is most porous and sensitive of all, protected from the dissolving aspect of Pisces through this effort to draw parallels, to use concrete laws and social cues, just gives this person a firmer footing on this earth. He or she takes hold of time and place, of opportunities, has a way with rationale that can hold up to scrutiny. Yet, the Pisces Sun overall dictates that the life shall be one of feeling—intuition will be acknowledged and followed first, and the unpredictability of life, the deep sorrows which a Pisces just encounters and has to bear or be porous enough to incorporate, is this person’s fate as well, as it is for all those advanced souls who chose a Pisces rulership in this lifetime. However, no matter the depths of what is occurring, the Libra Moon keeps that foot on the ground, in earthly matters, in society. This person holds tight to their friends and always shows face. Sometimes it is a face stricken with tears or transfigured by laughter, and showing such raw emotion is very endearing to others. She or he is also a fabulous dresser, a virtuoso at self-care and presentation, the palette, colors and shapes that fit the form. The Pisces-Libra has a formidable heart, and will make shape of whatever madness he or she has to deal with. This pairing takes stands, makes noble effort. They do best with strong relationships in their lives. The water, air combination is one of feeling considered with foresight or deep thought, the makings of poetry. The woman I know of this combination was my mother in law, and still is, I suppose, in spirit, and I have come to respect and love her despite so many obstacles, wrenchings apart, and uncertainties. Sometimes a Libra Moon can be a little wooden in his or her expectations or considerations of what matters for the Libra, again, strikes for that balance that seems right to the person and so the perspective can be limited within the current sphere of belief. Yet, Pisces teaches the person throughout life to err toward the greater than thou, the unconditional, and experiences will continue to flood parameters of thought and widen the pathways of the heart. The person breaks even with what they hold to be true, and they always represent their principles even if such principles are meant to get reshaped in this lifetime, eaten away by the sea, till nothing remains but the raw deposit of love which sparked curiosity in the issue, in the situation, in the relationship in the first place. The woman who walks along the beach laughing, and dances on the sand, who invites others near with a wave. This is one image that comes to mind for the Pisces Sun and Libra Moon.
