The Wild Wind

Sagittarius Sun and Aquarius Moon

This combination I have been destined to know deeper than any other. The Sagittarius Sun is dignified and explorative—there’s a constant potential for transcendence. When Sagittarius-Aquarians are in their highest power, their mere presence spreads joy, they have swagger, style, they make other people cry with their hilarity. They have the powerful bodies and the fearlessness to experience beyond every mundane limit that exists and they exude this in the mastery of their hands, or the way they move. Life is never really mundane to them. Even small, cyclical, day in and day out things create powerful chemical reactions in their bodies which lead to a couple different outcomes—mastery of whatever they are attempting or escape from constraint. In love and friendship, despite what you may have heard about Sagittarius, they go to the heights and the depths because the broad range of experience does not scare them. However, toxicity and games they cannot tolerate. It’s not even personal, they just don’t have the systems for it. The Aquarius Moon wizens the immense heart-warmth of the Sagittarius Sun. Alone, the Sagittarius Sun sign produces high spirits, a love of spontaneity, and penetrative sight but the Aquarius Moon brings a potent inner world that can keep this person aloof for many, many years before he or she decides to swoop down to other people’s levels. They are capable of exerting unbelievable energy, but can fall prey to physical lethargy after suffering a disappointment; then the expansive universe inside their minds can take over. Sagittarius and Aquarius are sextile to each other, being Fire and Air, or in gentle support; yet I’ve found that though this combination produces an unusual, almost impenetrable, very stable aura, there is a melancholy with these two dancing together that has come from waiting too long for the wind to open a window or someone to call. This person must be the wind themselves, and learn to open their own doors. There is such a great need of external stimulation, movement, and challenge. This type of person would have been nonchalantly on the quest for the Holy Grail. They love adventure, receive illumination for their efforts, and intrinsically believe in God or a higher connective force. They have some fear of the shadows as they believed in phantoms and demons at a young age. So they created this chilly aloofness around themselves, for protection, like a literal space, with their impenetrable moods as the guards. Most of all, they want freedom from their ancestry, freedom from others’ toxicity, freedom to organically grow. Because of that fervent need, they are selective about the people they let near them. Yet they are also, as it were, very loyal to family. Trust is important with the Fire types, especially Sagittarius. Family earns it, automatically, but others can too. They are very loyal. It is possible they might live above the nest of intimacy, wandering from here to there—the Sagittarius-Aquarians I know have hightailed it down many a highway—but if they find a person of exponential growth, who stimulates their own, they’ll build a house for the two of them and have who knows how many children to grow in it. In work they are leaders and their work speaks for itself. They may not be the most cut-throat ambitious; it’s just, the capitalistic world breeds depression in them if they get too wrapped up in it. Life must be more spontaneous than that. Day to day, dollar to dollar drains them of their highly functioning mental prowess, the infectious energy they embody, and their intuition for doorways to the unknown. Their life is never fabricated but it can be fantastically planned for—however—the way to get there is not always known to them, they need all the twists and turns, the unexpectedness. This person always beautifully adjusts. They’re not too attached to the material world. But they suffer when those close to them suffer; they will just get up and wordlessly help. The moon here is a waxing crescent; embracive, optimistic, and opportunistic energy is always theirs to embody, and they have a childishness. My man, my partner in life is this combination, as well as my very first boyfriend from back—back in the day.
