Sagittarius Sun and Libra Moon
Here the Moon has waned towards the Last Quarter, and we have an individual, a Sagittarius, who is particularly sagacious and watchful. The Libra Moon however will hook the person into the fray; they love the push and pull of many, and only sometimes the individual attention of one. They always remain largely allowing in their consideration of others, inviting, and certainly not possessive. The Sun and Moon are in sextile with this combination, a friendly and supportive link, meaning the person is generally in perfect league with his or her own perceptions. Sagittarius has the highest, most conscious perception of us all, except perhaps for Aquarius, but there’s that fiery edge that tests through experience and feeling. Libra, being an Air sign and one of balance, strives for equanimity of thought and a clarity which the Sagittarius shapes into self-respect. The person feels very exact and righteous with his or her morals. Libra sometimes can play devil’s advocate or sway with the masses; it is a Moon sign vulnerable to trends, the heights of the crowd, and the attraction-repulsion dance of pheromones and such, but the kingly position of Sagittarius here keeps a sort of rein on it. The person desires more liberality and freedom than the average Libra, both in affection and in thought. But there is a limit to the Libra perspective, a worked in hurdle with the Libra Moon. The person instinctually draws comparisons, considers on a relative plain, and can get very star-struck with admiration, a known trigger for the Libra Moon. They will experience their own personal superiority and rein over themselves getting broken down. A feeling of being watered down, adrift, which triggers in them a thirst for study, or exploration, to dig out again who they are beyond what their inspiration is. Their relationships must survive and support this process—but when balanced, there is no person who is so adept at putting his or her lover on a pedestal and offering support. In fact, the person becomes a great supporter of the arts as well as—always—a willing, sincere practitioner. With the Waning Moon, there is personal de-integration going on, meaning that what makes the person most comfortable cyclically, even routinely, needs to get recycled—always that journey widening before them. The person is devoted to the path of learning. He or she will become strong in the act of justification, but wiser once that perspective is found to be limited, and then humbled by the act of expansion. The process puts the person in the way of wonder again. Sagittarius-Libra can lose their wonder, by becoming too much one way, or the cynic. But that’s usually the result of occasional hermeticism; friendships typically break that down. The person needs humorous souls who knock him or her off his pedestal, and of course mutual admiration, mutual love greases the wheels. Life generally flows on a contemplative, removed from the stress of it all level. Community is vital. In love the person is here very much to learn and become vulnerable, though the deep concentration of one on one relationships may not, for very long periods, be theirs. A love which is based in friendship will last longest. This is the combination of my ex husband who I was married to for four years and some months. He thrived, I would say, as the leader of a band, and was probably happiest in music circles with his friends.
