Scorpio Sun and Sagittarius Moon
A dear friend of mine is this combination—I longed to be friends with her before we ever spoke. She was like Janis Joplin reincarnated, flowing down the bleak streets of Southern Queens. Here the moon is in a childish crescent, a heart-opened configuration for Scorpio. The signs which are adjacent to one another are starkly divided but so very often connected, and have much to teach one another; I can speak for myself as a Scorpio who has had multiple friendships with Librans and relationships with Sagittarians. So this combination, though technically not deeply connecting the Sun and Moon, yet flows, with one opening doors for the other. The Sagittarius Moon takes a definite edge off the Scorpio Sun—it may be that he or she commits deep, soulful acts but the person feels no shame about it, there’s not the typical desperation for secrecy. This person is very boldly stated, very expanded, with the influence of the Jupiter ruled Sagittarius Moon. Also, just in itself, the crescent moon is the moon of deep promise, of excitement and gaiety and good energy. The person is not stingy with resources or demonic about their own secret missions, as so many lower Scorpios are, but magnanimous by nature; the person is here in deep curiosity to lift the lid from many a human soul. With searching eyes, the Scorpio Sagittarius is unfailingly kind because by his or her understanding, human beings are to be shown great respect. The water-fire moon combination is one of steam issuing from a doused fire, or flames dancing over the surface of water, reflecting. The person is comfortable with his or her incongruity; he or she laughs in the face of them. There is free-spiritedness and deep-heartedness hand in hand. Since the moon rules our deep habits and subconsciousness, the person with a Moon in the last fire sign is always up for new experiences, new visions—there is a deep draw to certain parts of society, art forms, and settings on this earth with this Moon. Sagittarius is the sign of far-flung travel across this beautiful earth and into our deep psyches. Scorpio merely allows passageway into the deepest and darkest of caverns for this curious soul. There may be a kind of removedness to the person, where he or she, though deeply interested, is yet too mystical to be a consistent earth companion. Though no doubt this person is a romantic, they are for their own journeys whenever they open up. The Scorpio-Sagittarius can argue a point down into the depths, too, for there is an air of self-righteousness when the person is feeling especially mystical and not too tied. Fierce, wide-eyed, extravagant, but wise generally with finances. She may look extravagant, like my friend, but she worked for hours in the night to sew that hem or mend that sleeve; so it is with the typical penchant for concentrated work that the Scorpio-Sagittarius manages to look the part of where she would long to be, or to laughingly beckon what she dreams of by dressing for the part ahead of time. Fearless, too—the person who radiates light dealing with deep traumas, unearthed sorrows, unmourned ancestors. This person is on this earth to offer curosity and a profound forgiveness. The greatest lesson a Sagittarius can teach a Scorpio is to forget. Yes, it hurt, it scarred, but let it go, release it—for your own sake, so you can still fly. Gathering the earth in her hands, she or he scatters it so far away that pain transmutes, and joy is born again.
