The Owl in the Evening

Taurus Sun and Gemini Moon

The Taurus-Gemini was a comfort to me when there was little hope in my life. When I was hurt and did not think I could bear being by anybody. I ended up, then, spending intimate time only with him. He didn’t elevate me, quite, but calmed me, his mere lack of gravity gave me perspective and without his even meaning to, he brought me back to life. This combination of earth and air appears grounded, inscrutable. Yet, the person hides much. He or she is incredibly open to the unknown, though the person will only sacrifice or offer what he or she is willing to give. And the Gemini Moon is perfectly comfortable with that. They’ll make no false promises—outright anyway, but there is some treachery in what is unsaid that the person plays with, at a young age, inciting rage in those who are less wily, less secretive, than themselves. I’ve spoken elsewhere how I believe that Gemini’s secrets are as rich as Scorpio’s, yet the thing about Gemini is that they tend to forget or not hold such dire meaning over everything. The person is just boundary-less, when they want to be—though no Taurus Sun was ever without physical boundaries—no, but the Gemini Moon, hidden behind a Taurus Sun, does away with a different kind of spiritual boundary. This might translate into the physical, it might not, but through glance of eye and other signals, the person reads underneath things and responds with a kind of give and take curiosity. An enter and be entered but with distance intact kind of situation. He or she sanctions people this way, permits them. There is a distinct lack of judgement, a collapse of judgement, and that is particularly why Gemini and Scorpio understand each other. As a Taurus Sun, the opposite sign of Scorpio, there is obviously a distinct sexuality to the person, yet it’s ethereal too, with such an emotional body as a Gemini Moon. They cannot always reach themselves deep. In fact there are various perches, developed in childhood, in which the person hides in his or her own consciousness, and certain deep dark parts of their own selves are not accessed or collecting dust. It is the unconscious draw of other people, tricky situations, and the underneath that helps them unlock themselves, helps them breathe. And the clearer they see themselves, the more at peace they become. Technically skilled, as most Taureans are in some way or another, and crafty with their hands, there needs to be something of the absurd in their every day. Magic within the practical. Their lives may be very contained, or quiet on the surface, yet the strangest stories unfold within them, the oddest tales you wouldn’t expect might come from them if you have them at the right time and place to unlock them. The Taurean just naturally, is rather locked, and prefers deep, aligned intimacy, otherwise they will be loth to give themselves away. They won’t, in fact. But with the Gemini Moon, the person might never give themselves away; they will resist unlocking to the very end. And this level of containment is an inspiration to a person like myself, hurt from being too open, too vulnerable. Still, the Taurus-Gemini can be radical, or sexually complicit, without asking for anyone’s heart in return. Behind the apparent depths and secrets, there’s merely—a child you didn’t expect, who is here to learn, who wants to see you. The person will then go quiet, for he or she does not want to seem ignorant, yet by knowing nothing and just watching, they learn. It’s these paths of learning the person is really open to, and must always be walking down, kicking rocks, just chilling.
